Not included are commercial airfare, air charter services, hotel and meals in Kodiak, Alaska fishing license and King Stamp, trip insurance, shipping of fish boxes and gratuity. Licenses can be purchased online before arrival or locally.

Popular Species & Seasons

Halibut

Late spring–fall, peaking May to October around Ugak and Pasagshack Bay.

Sockeye Salmon

June through early August, peaking mid-summer in systems like Saltery Creek and Saltery Lake.

Silver Salmon

August through early October in both saltwater and freshwater. Aggressive and hard-fighting.

Rockfish & Lingcod

Rockfish are available year-round on rocky reefs. Lingcod season runs July 1–December 31.

Alaskan Fishing Regulations

For 2026, Area 3A (Southcentral Alaska) charter halibut regulations maintain a 2-fish daily bag limit: one fish of any size, and a second fish 27 inches. Key restrictions include no retention on all Wednesdays, and no retention on Tuesdays between June 2 and August 25. A $20 federal charter stamp is now required for anglers.

Key 2026 Area 3A Charter Regulations

Daily Bag Limit: 2 fish per person.
Size Restriction: One fish any size, second fish27 inches (head on).
Day Closures: No retention on all Wednesdays, and no retention on Tuesdays (June 2 – August 25).
Charter Stamp: $20 stamp required for each angler, typically handled by the charter operator.
Annual Limit: No annual limit.
